Description: 1 Holophane 14" 685 Industrial Warehouse Light Glass Shade VTGONLY ONE LEFT These Holophane 685 14" diameter, Circa 1930's -1940's's are in absolutely wonderful condition. They are very old and have attained a wonderfully desirable patina. No color alteration, over-cleaning or top-coats of any kind, they seem to have avoided any but the most minuscule rust if any, uncommon for these lights. The glass is in nice condition with no cracks at all. All have scuff marks on the ribs of the glass from rubbing together. Nothing terrible but just not perfect, strictly part of aging, storage and travel, part of the lights' story. ONLY ONE LEFTThe sockets are the original mogul base sockets. I have added a 1 1/4" machined socket extension to bring the bulb further down into the glass shade where it can perform as intended. Todays bulbs a re shorter than the bulbs originally used in these Holophane lights. I've also added a ground wire for safety and code compliance. Pass Your Inspections!! If you would prefer a brand new UL listed medium base household socket, just ask.A 6 inch pipe and a swivel hanger are included.The original asbestos gaskets were removed and replace with new, factory cut gaskets for your safety.Knurled Knobs twist freely and allow easy removal of the shade for cleaning: no tools are required. Absolutely wonderful condition, the new owner will be pleased. The bottom is 14" diameter overall including the frame that holds the glass. The light was photographed with a 6 inch down-rod. Also available free of charge, are 3 inch rods or 12 inch. From the bottom of the light to the ceiling is 20".The sockets are large mogul base. I will include an adapter to reduce them to standard medium base household size, you get the best of both worlds! The UL Listed swivel hangers are perfect for keeping the lights hanging true.
