Early Red Sox Favorites trading card #11 - JIMMY FOXX Signs Baseball for Mrs. Tom Yawkey, wife of Sox owner ~ Boston Red Sox Issued by Maine collector TM This card is from a 25-card set titled Early Red Sox Favorites issued in 1979 by a Maine collector identified as "TM". Doubtlessly issued in quite small quantities, it fills in some gaps for Boston Red Sox specialists since each card pictures players, facilities and others of the pre-Ted Williams era. Card size is a larger-than-standard 2-5/8" by 3-3/4" with black and white photograph on sturdy card stock. Cards of this size fit best in vintage size toploaders and/or 8-pocket collector sheets designed specifically for pre-1957 trading cards. Condition: Near-Mint (with slight stain, lower left side on reverse) - this is the actual card the buyer will receive.
