Description: This is for a 12" Wooden Craft of a Violin/Viola that is presumed to be from the late 90's. The Violin/Viola comes stained reddish brown with a high gloss protective finish. This is just assumed being how I didn't make it as I just bought it from a craft store like Michaels or Pat Catan's sometime in the late 90's. The Violin/Viola comes with an apx. 11 inch bow as shown in the pictures and the dimensions of the wooden craft non-playable instrument itself is apx. 12 inches from the top to the bottom of it, apx. 5 inches when measured at the widest part of the body, and being apx. 0.75 inches in width. The Violin/Viola is in Great Condition for its age, Although in addition to it showing Wear from Age & Storage, it is missing a peg like what is shown in the fourth photo. The buyer could easily fix this by obtaining a small peg like that from almost a dollhouse railing or something similar and then by staining or paining it an ebony and after it dries by applying a satin finish to it or just use a black satin finish paint as the pegs appear to be of a satin finish and not a high gloss like that of the body itself. Then they could just apply a small amount of wood glue in the hole or on the peg to make sure it stays in the hole. Please keep in mind the above instructions/recommends are to be done by the buyer and at the buyer's expense as I am only just offering my painters expertise to go about helping someone be able to go about fixing it. The Violin/Viola also appears to have a flaw on both sides of it at the top as shown in the last two photos, where it appears that the wood is coming apart and this very much could be a manufacturer flaw being how it affects both sides or just a thing of normal aging for the piece. Please take a look at the photos in order to better judge the overall condition of the item for yourself. *Please note that I refer to this craft as a Violin or a Viola being how its not distinguishable between which one it is and therefore, could be whatever the buyer wants it to be since it doesn't have a real playable C or E string.
