Description: Custom built model of a Grumman F-8-F Navy fighter. This is not an attic or swap meet find but a high quality, pro-built kit with sprayed enamel paint, fresh decals and custom painted details. The ultimate single engine WW2 carrier fighter by Grumman, the aircraft was quite small, light, powerful and heavily armed. It's design was influnced by the study of captured examples of the German FW-190 fighter plane. Too late to see action in WW2 the Bearcat was employed by the Navy in the post-war era and Korean War. This is a scale model collectors item to be handled with care, not a childs toy to be played with! Has small and sharp parts that could break off if mishandled. Buyer should expect the possibility of small parts coming detached in shipment but model is very well built and will be carefully packed (check my feedback) and damage is quite unlikely.
