Description: Model of a WW2 P-51C Mustang fighter by 21st Century toys. This is not an attic or estate sale find but a high quality pre-built model. On this Item the main landing gear has been rebuilt and installed by a professional modeler. Looks good as new. One of the most successful designs of the WW2 period. Used by the Army Air Corps and also exported to England. The B and C models of the P-51 had a framed canopy instead of the bubble type and a few other differences from the D model but all versions fought together in squadrons around the world. The Mustang's greatest asset was its long range which allowed it to escort bombers all the way to their targets in Europe and to fly extended distances on Pacific missions. This is a scale model collectors item to be handled with care. Has small and sharp parts that could break off if mishandled. Buyer should expect the possibility of small parts coming detached in shipment but model is very well built and will be carefully packed (check my feedback) and damage is quite unlikely.
