Description: 1/6 daguerreotype of an old Quaker woman, taken by the Pennsylvania photographer Thomas Hutchinson, who had studios in Philadelphia, and in the neighborhood of Frankford. The village of Frankford was established by the Quakers in about 1682. Dag is behind mat and cover glass in a full leather case. The covers are separated and the leather looks to be slightly different colors, but this is the original case - you can tell by how the halves fit together and the leather along the edges. Dag is unsealed but otherwise in VG antique condition, possibly with a few tiny mat abrasions.
