Description: 1833 ANTIQUE LEGAL BOND DOCUMENT CONTRACT SAMUEL T. WILDER THOMAS SHUMWAY VERMONT. A neat document for $120 dollars between Samuel T Wilder and bound to Albyn V. Dyke and Thomas D Shumway. I found reference to SAMUEL T. WILDER in Rochester NY around this time, a short drive from where it was found. I also found reference to Thomas D Shumway in Vermont and Connecticut in the same time frame. It was found in a pile of Vermont documents. It looks to be fun research project. Good condition, dated Jun 3, 1833. Document sold by Hoyt Porter & Co. Light soiling, with wax seal of Wilder. It measures 7 5/8"w x 12 7/8"h. Creased in 4ths. A nice find. Item from the estate of long time D&C reporter Hans Tanner, of which I have acquired a large part of his vast local history collection I'll be listing over the coming months.
