Front board nearly detached. Discoloration to spine with light wear to extremities. Gilt finishing bright and clean. Front gutter was repaired at some point with non-archival tape. Worthy of proper conservation. Top edge gilt. Signed by Riviere & Son who were premier binders. Interior lightly toned with nominal foxing. Original brown cloth binding has been placed in rear. Nicely done. Binding remains intact. Free of known markings. Please see photos. Most likely bound 1880 on by premier binders Riviere & Sons.
