Original publisher cloth binding shows wear including a library catalog sticker pasted to the spine, rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping the corners and spine extremes, and soiling to the page edges, as well as some light staining to the top edge. Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume! The gilt title lettering on the spine displays nicely from the shelf. Internally, this volume is in good shape overall. Both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding. This is an ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers and fly pages, as well as the title page and copyright page. Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions. The text block of this volume is clean overall. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, some light soiling throughout, and some general light corner creasing as well, but otherwise this volume is clean and perfectly readable throughout! Includes several folding maps in the rear. The map of Kentucky is detached from the binding as pictured. Maps show some wear including light soiling and general edge wear.
