One page of publisher's adverts to the rear.Written by Juliana Horatia Ewing, a popular writer of children's stories. She wrote sympathetic works for children, often morally guiding them.Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper of 'Dandelion Clocks'. CONDITION In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart. Light marks and discolouration to the boards and spine. Some loss of paper to the spines and joints. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. Front hinge of 'Daddy Darwin's Dovecot' is starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper of 'Dandelion Clocks'. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with just a few light spots.
