The second of Roosevelt's series of four books on hunting and ranching, the work follows his experiences working on a ranch in the west of the country. Roosevelt owned a ranch on the Little Missouri in Dakota Territory, and details the struggles and charms of ranching and hunting in the area. The work covers a number of his adventures in the area, including cowboys, hunting bear and his time spent as deputy sheriff. CONDITION In the publisher's original cloth binding.
