Description: 1910 Walnut Decorative Ends to a Pump Organ - There are two like this walnut. Probably from an old pump organ. (both for $55). Decorative walnut. 36” x 16”, 30 lbs. One of many things I have accumulated since buying furniture for our first home; a mobile home I paid $150 for in 1960. I had made the rounds in the 1950s to the Salvation Army, Catholic Charities and other used stuff stores in Peoria when I came home on leave from the Navy. In the early mid 1960s I picked antiques for a number of dealers South of Dixon and East of Sterling, ILL. Much of the side affect was to store up old tavern and store antiques to help fulfill a vision of operating a dance hall which would be like the Long Branch. And lots of stuff accumulated as by products of buying and selling several buildings in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. This has been stored in an old Hotel which later became a factory building and by June of 2020 must be emptied for a new owner of the building. Low prices are influence to dispose of this stuff, as well as increased age. The desperation of ridding the stuff because of time requirements over come most interest in price; and the way this stuff was stored since 1978 or 1979 did not lean itself to be available on any market; so it's like barn-find stuff. I've lived in the area since 1966 and did not throw much away. Details of this item may not be a clear since photographed in a poorly lit storage room where it had been piled since around 1983 when it was brought here from an old building where it had been stored. Since between 1963 – 1975. It was quite old when first stored, some dating back towards the turn of the century.
