Description: This camera is the No. 3A Autographic Kodak Jr. This model was made by Kodak from 1918-1927. This camera was made in 1918. It took 10 pictures on A-122 film. It was constructed using an aluminum body and covered with a fine seal grain leather. This camera is fitted with the upgrades of a Bush & Lomb Rapid Rectillinear lens and the Kodak Ball Bearing Shutter. This camera was originally priced at $29.00. That would equal $608.00 today. This camera is in overall good condition for its age, with very little patina, as shown in my many pictures. The bellows are good looking, and do not have any pin holes of light coming in. The nickel finish around the lens and the lettering is good. The leather covering is mostly good looking, shrinking in places, and is missing a piece under the bed of the camera, as shown in my pictures. Mechanically, the camera is good. The shutter works all speeds, but doesn't spring back. The red lens has been replaced for cosmetic reasons. The lens slides out, and back in easily. The stand is brilliant, the extra take-up spool is present, and the film winder has a good finish. The brilliant viewfinder is very good, and the carrying handle is also in good condition. Most of the handles are missing on this model, but this one has been able to withstand the pull out of the box / pouch. The lenses are all reasonably clean, inside and out. With the push of the button, the folding lens and bellows pull out easily, and you're ready to shoot. Original patents were granted in 1902, 1909, 1913, and 1917. The camera is a larger one, measuring 10" long when folded up. For being just about 106 years old, this camera's condition is not expected. Also included with this camera, is the original remote shutter, but it is only for looks, as it doesn't work anymore. This camera has minor flaws, but it is really a treasure, considering its age.
