COVER PICTURE - Taken in front of the Model T Museum, people from Wayne County, Indiana, welcome people arriving for the Centennial T Party. The 1924 WWI-style ambulance is from the museum's collection, donated by Roy and Bernice Young. Jay and Barbara Klehfoth own the 1925 touring. The photo was taken by Jim Hair of Richmond, Indiana. The photo was taken at the Woodland Ferry on the Nanticoke River, between Woodland and Bethel, Delaware. The Woodland Ferry is a cable ferry. This may be the oldest ferry site in the United States. A firm date has yet to be established for the first crossing, but evidence exists that a ferry may have operated here before 1671. Shortly after this photo was taken, the ferry was closed and will be replaced with a new ferry in August 2008. 1. Jim Resh as Uncle Sam (Wayne County Tourism) 2.
