Description: 1926-D INDIAN/BUFFALO NICKEL ABOUT VERY-GOOD DETAILS This lot offers a decent example of a 1926-dated Indian/Buffalo nickel that was struck at the Denver Mint! The full, four-digit date and “D” mint-mark are easily read while the buffalo does exhibit some of it’s horn. The overall detail would require a grade of Very-Good, BUT note that there is a scratch traveling from above where the chiefs’ hair is gathered in into the bottom feather. This coin was in my folder and I don’t recall having ever noticed the scratch. In fact, holding the coin in my hand at 8-10 inches from my eyes, I still don’t see it! The scanner really enhances the defect. I do my best to grade and point out actual defects that go beyond normal circulation. However, these old eyes occasionally miss things! So, I suggest you view the provided photos closely, compare my coin(s) against others on Ebay, and then form your own opinion as to eye-appeal, grade and value! The 1926-D actually trends for $21.00 in Very-Good condition in the April 30, 2024 issue of Numismatic News magazine! Please note that I scan my photos and any white specks/flecks on the pictured coins are just paper dust that was on the scanner bed. The photos should otherwise be considered as a representation of “what you see is what you get”. PLEASE CHECK-OUT & PURCHASE EACH LISTED ITEM SEPARATELY!! THIS HELPS ME PROCESS ORDERS MORE EASILY & PROVIDES A TRACKING # FOR EACH LOT! Buyer pays 64-cents shipping to U.S. addresses only.
