First edition thus, first printing. Condition: VG+/G T. E. Lawrence's abridged version of his magnum opus, 'The Seven Pillars of Wisdom'. It is his riveting, action-packed account of his war experiences. Lawrence was a British writer and army officer, known for his legendary leadership in the Arab Revolt and Sinai and Palestine Campaign against the Ottoman Empire. He is more famously known as 'Lawrence of Arabia’ particularly after the award-winning epic movie starring Peter O’ Toole, Omar Sharif and Sir Alec Guinness. The book is in VERY GOOD+ condition - square spine with firm hinges and joints. Colorful, unfaded boards. Light rubbing to spine tips, corners and board edges. Some dust jacket shadowing on front paste down and head of boards, text block page edges, endpapers and title page show foxing else NEAR FINE. Interior has no writing, stamps or ex libris marks. Pages are tight and undamaged. The dust jacket is in GOOD condition - price clipped and all four panel corners clipped, complete, colorful. Spine is sun-darkened and dust jacket is heavily soiled.
