Description: 1930's ARCADE CAST IRON FIRE LADDER TRUCK TOY Wonderful, 1930's, Cast Iron, Pontiac Fire Ladder Truck in outstanding, original condition manufactured by Arcade. This early, cast-iron Arcade Ladder Truck measures 12 1/2” long overall (including the original, yellow pressed steel ladders that extend beyond the rear of the Truck) x 3 1/2" tall (to the top of the standing fireman's helmet) and 3 1/2" wide (the body of the Ladder Truck itself, not including the ladders, is 9 ½ “long). The Tow Truck retains its original Arcade transfer decal on the driver's side door and has cast text on the underside that reads "Arcade", "U.S.A." and the number "1700". This beautiful and quite substantial, Cast-Iron Ladder Truck features two, integrally cast fireman (a driver and a fireman standing on the running board just behind the driver), separately cast, chromed Pontiac style grill, bumper and headlight assembly, original black rubber wheels and original yellow, pressed steel ladders. The surfaces of all parts of the Truck are exceptionally well preserved and are 100% original. The wonderful, larger size, Arcade Pontiac Fire Ladder Truck is in excellent condition. It is 100% original has never been repainted, touched-up, restored or altered in any way. The Truck and the ladders retain approx. 95% of the original red, blue and yellow paint with silver and flesh-colored highlights. The Grill assembly is original and retains a significant amount of its chrome surface but does have some light surface oxidation as can be seen in the scans below (this will likely clean up somewhat). Even the original, Arcade transfer decal on the driver side door is well preserved. There are no crack, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage of any kind to any element of the Ladder Truck.
