1930s Shuron Vintage Eyewear Glasses 1/10 12K Yellow Gold Fill Rimless Frames

Description: Rimless Yellow Gold 12K filled with modified cat eye lenses with original case. These are marked Shuron, which is a Greenville, South Carolina optical company operating since 1865. The company is still operating today. Black metal hinged case is imprinted with the name "E. H. Boyd, O. D. ~ Optometrist ~ Wharton, Texas". Nose bridge is marked with "Shuron {2 crowns} 1/10 12K G.F. (gold filled)". Temples are also marked. Glasses Dimensions: Temple length: 4" Width: 4.75" Bridge: 0.75” at narrowest, 1" at wider bar above nose Lens: 1.75" Wide x 1-1/2" Tall Condition: Metal frames in good used condition. I see nothing which would impede ability to use frame or lenses for replacement Rx. Most significant issue is left temple was previously attached using bent wire. I did not have the right size or metal color replacement screw -- your optometrist can easily provide correct replacement. So screw I did have is not flush with the top of the hinge (see photo #5). Metal is clean and free of verdigris or corrosion. Nose pads have slightly discolored contacts to frame. No temple covers. No chips or breakage on glass lenses. Case in good condition -- interior velvet intact, exterior hinge and covering shows wear, but not torn or blemished.Always happy to pass through discounts on combined shipping.
