The 1934-S is considered, by many, to be one of the key coins for this series and while certified examples are rare, those graded Mint State can be found fairly easily. However, the high cost of these MS-coins puts them out of reach or at least out of consideration for many collectors, me included. Acquiring a certified ALMOST UNCIRCULATED coin is one of the ways to fill the 1934-S place in a Peace collection. The coin being offered is the one that served that purpose in my collection for many years. Both obverse and reverse surfaces are bright and have retained some of the original luster.
