PMG Certification Number: 1004996-128 RUN 3 HIGH S/N: 90980178 During the printing of the 1616 series, the BEP decided to print an experimental issue of the FR: 1614. Immediately after the resumption of printing the last 1616 were printed. There were 3 Runs. R1, R2, R3 with R3 being the last. The R3 run were the very last 1616s printed. Usually when the BEP does this, the notes following are low quality due to the plates. These notes were not only top quality but significantly nicer than the rest of the issue. That is why PMG has them specially marked and gave them their own FR. Highly desired notes which are affordable only in grade 65 and maybe 66 if your collection is GEM quality. Extraordinarily eye appeal coming out of this special silver certificate. It has a classic “original” appearance. Pristine paper quality with razor sharp corners. Really beautiful 1616R3. Worthy of any collection. NOTE: This is one of the very first 1616R3, RUN3, $1 silver certificates, graded by PMG. It’s in a first generation PMG holder. Back then PMG did not put the 1616R3 on the holder. I enclosed a picture from PMG website with the PMG verification and the notation of the 1616R3. They kept a record of this special run from the beginning but started adding the 1616R3 on the holder much later. Early PMG holders had a slight tint. They add to the appearance nicely.
