Description: Clean scrapbook find! Rare ephemera! Four page, c. 1936, promotional flyer for Carl Sandburg, "Lecturer, Poet, Troubador." The two-color sheet is in good condition with some horizontal mailing creases, one small tear to inside page and some general age discoloration. Would frame and present well. Great portrait illustrations on all four pages by noted photographer, Edward Steichen. The text notes that Sandburg had finished "Abraham Lincoln-The Prairie Years" and "is now engaged in writing the second part of this great work." Also, "if requested, Mr. Sandburg will be glad to devote fifteen minutes or a half-hour to Abraham Lincoln, but this portion of the talk will be incidental and not the theme of the entire talk."
