Fourth Printing (hand inked birthday inscription on blank opening page dated 1941). 8.5" x 11.5". 72 pages. Hardbound with linen spine. Colorful graphic cover with beautiful color and b&w imagery inside (artist sketches along with full color film scenes). NOTE: One image includes Pinocchio riding on the back of a giant white dove. This scene was deleted from the movie (book was printed before the film was released in 1940). A scarce & quality-made publication with eye-catching imagery. Condition is considered only FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Scattered page tears, several quite extensive (largest tear being approx. 3.5"). Areas of binding are loosening & splitting but still bound (no loose pages). Approx. 2.5" spine edge separation. Colors are still bold, bright and attractive. Despite obvious defects, we feel this uncommon item is still in very displayable & serviceable condition by most standards (see photos). It would make an outstanding original PINOCCHIO display.
