Description: Offered for sale is this nice first day cover for the 3c Four States stamp, Scott 858. This is an uncacheted cover. The stamp marks the 50th anniversary of statehood for Washington, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Each state had a first day location. This cover is addressed to a man in Taylor, North Dakota. The postmark reads 'Helena Mont. Montana admitted to Union Nov. 8, 1889. This is often referred to as the "clothesline" issue since the Canadian border seems to be hanging all four states. This will make a nice item for a collection of US first day covers. I have been buying and selling on ebay since 2002 with over seven thousand successful transactions. Check my outstanding feedback and bid with confidence! dc Montana Statehood 0223
