Description: 1940's Benjamin 20" Pump Island Light Green Porcelain Vintage GAS STATION Sign SOLD INDIVIDUALLY, ONE LIGHT FOR THE PRICE. Finding five of these in good condition is a dream come true. Benjamin produced thousands of these over the years but sadly, most are gone. It makes me happy to bring these wonderful lights back to life and offer them for sale. They have been prepared for an additional 75 years of service, have you got a job for them? If you are familiar these lights, then you are probably aware they have a tendency to fail under the top cover. The steel socket holder bracket was originally made with a thin gage steel that rusted easily. I have remade the bracket with a heavier gage steel and painted them with a good paint so they'll last much longer. I also media-blasted all the cast-iron harps, except one that still had a fair amount of original black paint on it. (You'll only have to ask for this one and you'll get it if it's still available). The inside of the top cover has also been refinished for longevity. I take a lot of pride in preparing these wonderful lights for a safe and worry-free existence over the next many decades without over-restoring. These are ready to go back to work. Out of a group of five, these are the three best. There are a few chips, nothing too bad. They look great! There are two more available with more patina a bit cheaper in another listing, Item: 256402204915. The wiring is 150 centigrade high-temperature fixture wire. I added a ground wire for safety along with new gaskets. The sleeve fits over your 2" pipe and clamps with two original set-screws. The 2" pipe is not included.
