Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: James Sweeney, army veteran who was discharged in May 1944, was arrested by police and charged with robbing a haberdashery of $49. Sweeney, 28, was caught by two policemen after taking the money by threatening girl employee of the store with a toy gun. When he left, the girl screamed for help. Sweeney was apprehended after short chase. In police station he caused some trouble before submitting to search -- as the following series of pictures show.
