1957 Uneeda Dollikin 19" Brunette LOTUS BLOSSOM Multi-Jointed Doll w/Orig Box

Description: This is a vintage 19" Uneeda Dollikin from 1957 called "Lotus Blossom" probably because of her Mandarin style pantsuit with prints of oriental fanson the long jacket. She is marked Uneeda 2s on the back of her neck. Doll comes in her original box with pull-out cardboard and small brochure card. I will try to describe doll/clothing/box and note any flaws that I notice in my description below. Of course, there is always a chance I may inadvertently overlook something but I hope not. The original Dollikin box has label with pull-out cardboard and gold box top. The box bottom and sides have yellowed and shows age. Both box bottom and top have shelfwear. Doll does not appear to be played withand clothing material still feels crisp and not laundered and appears to be in great condition. The bodysuit has round snaps down back with snaps at sleeve cuffs. There is a light smudge on the back upper sleeve area near shoulder which I think came from inside box color. The pants snap at back with slits at ankles. The jacket has an elastic button closure at neckline. The white pearly heels are in great condition and the elastic is still snug. The doll has brown hair in updo style but there are some flyaways due to handling over time. Also, see picture showing some missing hair plugs at bottom of right back...a possible factory flaw. She has pretty blue eyes that are slightly dull looking and nice cheek and lip color. Her red nail polish is still vibrant but apparently the pinkie on left hand did not get painted. There are some red lines on her upper back left shoulder and upper back thigh which I think are factory flaws that occurred when painting nails. One major flaw is that her left knee/leg that fits into upper part of knee section will not stay on. The doll was like that when I purchased her a while back. I don't know how to repair it. But it stays on in pants with doll seated and on doll stand...but it will fall out of socket if you just hold the doll up or move it around. I do not know if this was a factory flaw or something broke on the plastic joint. Her elbow and feet joints are somewhat loose. Doll and clothing have no offensive odors...just smells like her cardboard box that she has been stored in for decades.
