1958 PLAID Dome Lunchbox Thermos NEAR MINT RARE JOE SOUCY COLLECTION Red Black

Description: Hello! Thank you for visiting my auction. Please check out my other listings, as I'll be listing a HUGE lunchbox collection in the next few weeks. This will be one of the largest and best condition collections to hit the market since the Joe Soucy collection from several years ago. In fact, quite a few of these boxes were purchased in that auction. I've also got a ton of AFA graded action figures and some very cool odds and ends. I’ll combine shipping on multiple wins to help you save money. Up for auction is a beautiful PLAID (Red and Yellow) dome lunchbox and thermos set produced by American Thermos in 1958. The lunchbox is NEAR MINT (borderline MINT) with a few flaws - worn feet and corners on the bottom (though the rest of the bottom is really clean) and a name written in marker on the inside of the box (I'd think it would come off, but honestly, it looks like someone tried already. I didn't want to risk disturbing the white.). The thermos is GEM MINT and UNUSED. Latches and handle hardware are very clean and shiny, with just a tiny bit of spotting on the handle hardware. Inside is really nice - except for the written name of Diane F. It even has the original thermos paperwork. The best part is that this box is 100% guaranteed to have come from the Joe Soucy collection that was auctioned off by Toyscout1 in 2019 and comes with the certificates signed by the Toy Scout himself, Joel Magee. That means this was one of the best Plaid boxes that Joe ever came across in his collecting years. With the main issues being on the bottom and inside, this displays beautifully and rightfully belongs in a high end box collection. Please see all pics and ask any questions prior to buying.
