Description: Offered here is the vintage Catholic book A COMPANION TO THE SPIRITUAL EXERCISES written Jonathan Robert. This book has a leather cover with a comfortable feeling patina and is conveniently sized (about 6.5" x 4.5"). It was published in 1965 by Burnes and Oates of London, and was printed in Belgium. This book is in very good condition--complete and intact, with no missing, loose, or torn pages and with hand-writing or signatures. A COMPANION TO THE SPIRITUAL EXERCISES was written by a Jesuit novice who was making the Spiritual Exercises in full (the thirty day "Long Retreat") as part of the exercise to search direction before choosing a vocation in the Society of Jesus (Jesuit Order). He followed Ignatius' method of meditation by immersing himself into Ignatius' Exercises. The result is a compelling reflection on one man's spiritual examination, and in many ways is a valuable resource for one's own spiritual examination. It's a book that any serious Catholic will find spiritually rewarding. NOTE: This is not to be confused with William Barry's companion to the exercises titled "Finding God in All Things." This book is being sold on ebay with the following guidelines: 1. Shipping is via the USPS Media Mail service and only to locations in the 50 states of the USA. 2. Payment is to be made within three days of purchase. Please look carefully at the photos, and feel welcome to ask questions before you bid. I'll do my best to answer promptly. Thanks for taking the time to look at this listing.
