President Johnson presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom to opera singer Leontyne Price, Wednesday in a special White House ceremony. The award was made alter the singer had entertained at a state dinner honoring Italian Premier Aldo Moro. Miss Price had been unable to be present last fall when 29 other persons received the medal, the highest civil honor offered by the President for service in peacetime.
