Ground level phenomenon - South Pole Station, Antarctica: A C-130F Hercules of the Air Development Squadron leaves a condensation trail on the ground in 63 degree below zero temperature. Normally the trails are seen only at high altitudes, but the extreme cold and the 9,200-foot elevation of the South Pole is responsible for this high level phenomenon being seen on the ground.Photo measures 10.25 x 7inches.
