Description: Very hard to find COMPLETE set of cards from the 1969 Milton Bradley Baseball board game. You occasionally see complete sets of 296 different players, sometimes with the game box and some of the other pieces that made up the game, sometimes the cards only. And you will see lots large and small of groups of cards, along with the singles and the occasional complete team set (quite desirable). You don't often see the complete set of 24 of the team header cards. Here we have all 320 cards, also the paper checklist (which I have not seen included in any of the games on eBay). The set includes (35) Hall of Famers including a Rookie Card of Reggie Jackson. Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente, Ernie Banks, Johnny Bench and Tom Seaver headline the list with 28 others. Several players who made their first appearance in 1969 (also in the 1969 Topps set) and are considered Rookie Cards are the aforementioned Reggie, plus: Bobby Bonds (Barry's dad), w/1969 Giants Bobby Cox (HOF manager), w/1969 YankeesDel Unser w/1969 SenatorsCito Gaston w/1969 Padres As shown on the checklist, four players were not assigned to a team at the time the set was printed. Those players are included with the teams they played with in 1969, or last played with in 1968, their last in MLB: Jerry Bucek - NY MetsMike Cuellar - Baltimore OriolesFred Klages - Chicago White SoxRusty Staub - Montreal Expos I have the set organzied by teams according to the checklist, and assembled in team bags in preparation for selling as individual team sets if I can't get what I need for the complete set. Each team set includes the team header card. Conditionwise, the overall grade is EX+ The cards came in perforated sheets that had to be taken apart. The very nature of the design lent itself to condition issues for individual cards. For the most part, a majority of cards have a Near Mint (or better) appearance with sharp corners, but there is some minor stress at the border where a card was attached. I spotted just two cards with a crease, Jerry May with Pittsburgh (light) and Curt Flood with St Louis, (wrinkle across front). Two more have some separation and lifting of the paper fronts from the paperboard backs (I believe the company contracted with a printer who was not Topps and used a different cardstock). These are Joe Foy with Kansas City and Nelson Briles with St Louis. I counted one dozen cards with small pink-colored stains at one corner or along a border. How this occurred - during printing or after the game was opened and the cards separated - is anyone's guess. But it's pretty minor. Two key cards have this, the Jackson RC and Frank Robinson. There is a small number that grade below EX due to staining or corner wear. Centering could be a problem with this issue but the vast majority of the cards here are well-centered.
