Description: This is 1978 Gibson MK-35 acoustic/electric guitar that I recently bought as a "project" guitar because it had a lifting bridge. A local luthier re-set the bridge and did a complete setup with new Gibson strings. He also applied an adhesive to the surface cracks (lower right back corner) and noted that cleats were not necessary so I am taking his word. This MK-35 is a Kalamazoo MI product. The guitar is in good condition and has been a "players" guitar, not a collectible piece by any means. It has a fair amount of scratches and dings expected of a 46 year old instrument but still has good bones, after all it is a Gibson. The neck is straight, the frets are in good condition, the top is flat, and the Gibson tuners are original. I purchased this guitar because I had always wanted to try out an MK but could never find one at the right price (for me). As noted, I had it repaired and have been playing it at home. This is a dreadnaught size guitar and is somewhat a little too big for me. I have a Gibson L-00 that is just the right size for me so there is no sense in keeping this MK. I won't make any money on this sale, I am just trying to get some of my money back. I believe I am asking a fair price for this vintage and rare Gibson MK. I will ship via UPS Ground to anywhere in the Continental USA.
