Description: ***Since taking these initial photos, I’ve gone ahead and cleaned out, repacked/regreased the hubs and bottom bracket, and they’re in excellent shape with very minimal use*** ***Avail for local pickup or shipping. My LBS will pack and ship via bike flight*** This is an absolutely stellar condition vintage Trek 710 circa 1980 in a crimson/burgundy red with the very cool art deco decal and head badge. Check the photo of the head badge for best representation of the beautiful crimson/burgundy color (was hard to photograph in direct sunlight). The original owner passed it down to his nephew, and there’s barely a scratch on it. The bike even had the original Trek water bottle and frame pump. Size wise, this is ideal for someone approximately 5’7” but can work for someone approx 5’6” - 5’8” The very comfortable frameset is fully comprised of lightweight double butted Reynolds 531 tubing. These would be considered a sport tourer in that it’s faster and lighter than traditional touring bike, but more stable and comfortable than a traditional road bike. Dropouts are Campagnolo which is one of the last year Trek’s featured them. The bike has some excellent Campagnolo hubs that spin great and would will last a lifetime with some regular cleaning/greasing. The drivetrain features Suntour Cyclone M-II derailleurs, Suntour wide range freewheel, Sedis Chain, and an Aeroxcrankset. There is hardly any wear on the teeth of the chainrings or cogs. Brakes are the beautiful Gran Compe levers with replacement hoods, and Gran Compe NGC 500 side pull brakes. Cockpit features a Sakae Seatpost, stem, and handlebars, with a more modern Vitesse saddle.
