It is from July 12th 1986 in Shea Stadium, given to a 1962 original Met, the late Frank Thomas. These gifts were given to players and some VIP members. Each year the team would present a different gift. In 1986 the gift was a Mets Phone Helmet with the players name on it. This was the one given to Frank Thomas. Frank even signed the top, "Frank Thomas Original Met 1962-1964". Frank played for the Mets in both the Polo Grounds and when Shea Stadium opened in 1964. Getting these items from the vintage Old Timers Games are super rare. Getting one from an original 1962 Met and SIGNED is a whole other level of rare! Not many chances ever come by to get one.
