Description: Vintage Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. Louisville Slugger 125 Model M159 Flame Tempered Store Model Baseball Bat The legend himself and the Lou Gehrig of our era – Cal Ripken, Jr. – One of the best shortstops to have ever played the game and one of only a few who played their entire career with one team, in this case, the Baltimore Orioles from 1981-2001. He was a 19x All-Star, a World Series Champ, 2x AL MVP, AL 1982 Rookie of the Year, 2x Gold Glove Winner, and 8x Silver Slugger Award winner along with a host of other incredible awards including the MLB record of 2,632 consecutive games played. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007. This is a great vintage Ripken bat that is in Excellent to Near-Mint condition overall. Very minor surface wear. A few minor scuffs around the barrel and one spot on the back barrel exhibiting some very minor grain swelling but still solid as a rock – no dead wood nor cracking. Nice patina. Lettering and branding is fantastic! It measures 33 inches long and weighs 30.3oz. “3” on the knob. I would likely date this bat to the mid-late 1990s. A beautiful and solid bat perfect for autographs especially with Ripken appearing this year in Cleveland for the National Sports Collectors Convention. A great piece that would make a nice addition to any great memorabilia collection. Please see all photos for more details and to make your own judgment. Shipping is Free.
