The 50c, 10c and 5c were produced for circulation in 1991, but (notably) the 50c and 10c were of low mintage so they are also sought after. This coin is from the '1991 Proof Year Coin Set' which commemorates the '25th Anniversary of Decimal Currency' by the Royal Australian Mint (RAM). The 1991 'Rams Head' 50c coin specifically commemorated the Anniversary being designed by RAM master sculptor Horst Hahne using the Rams Head from the Australian shilling which was minted from 1938 to 1963.
