Description: Here we have an unusual and eye-catching 1994 United Nations peacekeeping group cover from a major in Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina to a captain in Osijek, Croatia. This is an official, illustrated in UN blue UNPROFOR -- UN Protection Forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina -- cover with a matching large red cachet in red dated 24 Feb 1994. The Bosnian stamps are tied by neat Mostar single ring handstamps of 10.2.94. The envelope is generally fine, with minor bumps, etc., from wartime postal handling,The sender is Maj Vrzba Jan if UNPROFOR and it is addressed to Capt. Paepen Jan, UNPROFOR UN LO, Sector East, Osijek, Croatia. An interesting and sadly topical UN, former Yugoslavia and European conflict cover.
