Description: *These do NOT simply remove from the window. They are twisted onto a threaded stud mounted to the window and held in place with a strong adhesive. Once you remove the body mounting bolts, you will need to break the adhesion seal on the window. I use a medium flathead screwdriver as a prybar and work my way around the circular mount breaking the grip in multiple spots. Then, I can twist it off. When reinstalling, I highly recommend using some type of adhesive (which is not provided) in this same area to help it hold to the window. The plastic threaded portion of these latches are in good shape, but they are not strong enough to hold to the threaded stud on their own. Up for purchase is one USED OEM extended cab rear window latch for a 98-01 Dodge Ram. Latch is in good, used condition with some cosmetic wear and weathering from pervious use. Does not come with any of the hardware, so you will need to reuse your body mounting bolts. Will fit either the LH or RH side. Some have rubber bump stops as shown, other do not. Both work the same and I ship what I have available. Please ask questions prior to purchase. *To prevent fraud, this item is stamped with a custom made heat stamp that melts a mark into an unseen portion of the part to prove that the part came from me. Returns for items damaged during shipping MUST bear this logo or else the claim will be dismissed. Any alteration to the marking will also cause the dismissal of a damage return.
