Chinese Export Canton Famille Rose Mandarin Bottle Vase, ~14" H 19 世紀中國出口廣州粉彩柑橘瓶花瓶，~14 吋高 Lot 297 - A large bottle vase weighing nearly 6 lbs., it is finely decorated around the body with panels of court scenes of Mandarin figures framed by pastel blue key fret borders, alternating with panels of flowers, fruits, birds, and butterflies on a white ground framed by the same key fret border. The neck is decorated with only two panels, much the same except they are framed by 'C' scroll borders. The shoulder is decorated with four panels of flowers and insects on a white ground also framed by 'C' scroll borders.
