Description: Circa 1850 to 1900 Each painting measures 26 x 36” (including frame) Frames are fragile and well worn/chipped The canvases have been relined. There are scattered chips/flaws, crackling and retouching; overall in good condition. Provenance: from the estate of Lloyd Herman, founding director of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Renwick purchased the paintings from the 2009 Sotheby’s London auction of the contents of Versace’s mansion on Lake Como (Italy), Villa Fontanelle. Additional photos or video upon request.
