Description: I have been a collector of Native American items since the 1970's. I purchased this miniature dream catcher new about 15 years ago. It has been adorned with glass pony beads and feathers. There is a Certificate of Authenticity, guaranteed to be Native American made by Virginia McKinley, Navajo, census #74505. The Legend of the Dream Catcher As the legend goes, the Dream Catcher was used by the Woodland Indians and was hung in the lodge (near the bedroom window). It's use was to catch all dreams, good or bad. The bad dreams would get caught up in the webbing and be held there til first morning light, then burned off. Now the good dreams were caught, and knowing their way to the hole in the center, would filter down into the feathers and be held there, only to return another night to be dreamed. Measurements: 2" round Overall 10" long 3/16" deepIndian artifacts are an investment in enjoyment to last a lifetime.Questions??? Please ask before purchasing to avoid any misunderstandings.
