Description: 2 continental size chrome postcards show Native American Indians of the Nez Perce tribe. Both are circa 1970s, unused and in excellent condition. After the Nez Perce War, the tribe was exiled first to the Oklahoma Territory and then to the Colville Indian Reservation in Washington state. First card shows Chief Joseph (1840-1904), the hereditary leader of the Wallowa band of the tribe. Curteich, 1975. Unused. Second card shows a woman and her baby papoose on an Appaloosa horse. All are wearing native costumes. Postmarked 1990.
