2000 - 2008 Sacagawea 27 Coin PDS Uncirculated & Proof Set from US Mint Rolls

Description: 2000 - 2008 PDS Sacagawea Native American Uncirculated Business & Proof Strike 27 Coin Set Nice uncirculated & Proof Sacagawea Dollar Set showcasing all of the business and proof strike coins in the series minted prior to the "Native American" reverse themes were added to the series in 2009. This 27 coin set includes both a P mint and a D mint Sacagawea dollar from 2000 through 2008 as well as the "S" proof coins from 2000 through 2008. All coins are directly from freshly cracked US mint rolls or US Proof Sets, handled with gloves and never circulated. While the proofs will be gem, please note that while generally very nice business strike P&D coins coming directly from US mint products may have minor imperfections such as spotting and toning which is normal for business strike uncirculated coins. Since I have more than one of these sets to sell, the first set sold will receive the coins in the picture with subsequent sets being of equal Uncirculated/Proof quality. Most of the years in the business strike part of this set represent coins with small mintages due to the mint offering these coins only to collectors, at a premium over face value, in the years 2002 - 2008 with the lack of public acceptance of dollar coins. Therefore one would expect that over time this set will become more valuable as the coins are attractive and there are relatively few available. Certainly sourcing mint rolls of these coins has become increasingly expensive over time as Sacagawea sets have gained popularity. I have priced this set very reasonably as I purchased rolls from the mint during the 2000 - 2008 time frame and kept them in a climate controlled environment. According to sacagaweadollarguide.com:"The circulation strike mintage levels for theSacagawea Dollar series are interesting to examine. For the first year of the series, more than one billion coins were produced across the Philadelphia and Denver Mint facilities. This figure would decline drastically to about 130 million by the second year and to less than 8 million by the third year. The new dollar coins did not circulate widely as intended, so production was quickly scaled back and limited only to the demand generated from numismatic channels. From 2002 to 2008, the coins not distributed for circulation but only available within numismatic bags and rolls priced at a premium above face value. Over the years, collectors tended to order fewer bags and rolls, resulting in a trend of declining mintages."
