Description: 2000-P Sacagawea dollar, one per order from a mint roll of uncirculated Sacagawea dollars, opened and displayed for sale here. We removed the stained or unpleasantly toned ones from this lot; the toning on the rest is from the rims going inward, if there is any on either side of any particular coin, and looks nice. We are guessing these were stored east of the Mississippi River where there is more humidity, to achieve that toning, like happens on other coins over a century or more. That's where we acquired this roll (which seemed to have been intended to be a birthday roll for some lucky gift recipient) These 2000 - 2008 Sacagawea dollars are beautiful coins, with the historical figures - and that is an "action shot" of the Lewis and Clark expeditionary guide and her son, more so than presidential portraits - and the majestic eagle in flight on the reverse. In 2000, I took other rolls of these to the Balkan countries to give out, as a symbol of American ideals, dreams, and strength. One or more of these other coins from the same mintage year can be yours. Elsewhere in the David MA Coins store, you can choose these as encapsulated coins from the same roll, if you prefer.
