Description: Alvar Aalto Stool 60, black linoleum seat (matte), natural birch edge, natural lacquered birch legs. Made in Finland by Artek in 2002. Measures 15" diameter x 17-1/4" high. Ships flat. This stool has been stored unopened for nearly two decades. Built at a time when precision and good craftsmanship mattered, the L-legs attach with bolts and steel threaded inserts. (Today, wood screws are used.) Awarded the 2019 Good Design Long Life Design Award by the Japanese Institute of Design Promotion.
