26" AM "Queen Louise" Doll in Vintage Blue Dress w/ Flowered Bonnet 18

Description: This is a very lovely antique Armand Marseille "Queen Louise" Doll. She is a huge 26 inches tall with a flawless bisque socket head with brown glass sleep-eyes. Her head has been packed with paper towels to prepare for shipping and display so the eye mechanism will not move and break inside the head and possibly break and be damaged. This can be easily be removed, if desired, should your OCD demand it. Simply loosen the pate and use some long tweezers to pick the toweling out. Easy-peasy. She is wearing a platinum blonde mohair wig which is my first effort at curling a wig, so do not laugh!! You may have to refresh her curls after she has been packed, because her curls do not seem to be crush proof. Her bisque head is mounted on an antique composition BJD body that appears in great shape and well strung. All her fingers and toes are accounted for. She is wearing the "onesie" she came to me wearing and this combination chemise and pantalettes seems to be an antique garment. She is also wearing a full length white batiste fabric full length slip with crocheted lace around the hemline. Her pale blue batiste drop-waist, blouson dress, is also trimmed along the hemline with the same white crocheted lace as the slip. A heavier crocheted lace collar encircles the neckline of the dress. Crocheted circles serve as buttons down the front of the dress in two areas. The same heavier lace encircles the openings on the upper arms. This has a very pretty affect and, with the drop waist and the corresponding full skirt, makes for an old-fashioned, but very dainty look. Her straw boater, is decorated with pink roses, a navy delphinium, and tiny light blue flowers and secured with a pearl hat pin. Her outfit is completed with a pink cameo brooch.
