Description: 3 Fertile Hatching Cayuga Duck Eggs (3 Grey/Black Eggs) Baby ducks that hatch from these eggs will either be at least 100% Cayuga or a mixture of the following breeds. Female Ducks in Our Flock:- Cayuga Drakes (Male Ducks) in Our Flock:- Cayuga- Fawn Runner- Khaki Campbell- Buff Orpington- Silver Appleyard FERTILITY DISCLAIMER:Eggs are collected daily to ensure the best possible fertility rates but we cannot guarantee that all eggs will hatch once they leave our hands. We do not claim responsibility for any eggs that do not hatch as there are many factors that effect hatch rates. Fertile Eggs are best stored between 50-60 degrees F before incubating which we cannot control during the shipping process. Please review your local temperatures and decide when is the best time to have eggs shipped. If eggs are shipped in extreme circumstances, eggs may not be viable by the time they arrive to you.*WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OR REFUNDS FOR FERTILE EGGS THAT ARE SHIPPED! INCUBATING:Make sure to wash your hands or wear clean gloves when handling your eggs. Let your eggs rest and come to room temperature (with pointed ends facing down) for 24 hours before incubating. Bring your incubator up to temperature and let stabilize as the eggs rest. Please research hatching instructions and handle eggs as little as possible during incubation. CANDLING EGGS:It is recommended to only candle eggs twice during incubation. Each time the lid is removed, temperature and humidity drop and may decrease your hatch rate. You can check your eggs for growth after day 7 of incubation (we recommend waiting until day 8 or 9). By this time, you should see blood veins and a small beating heart inside the egg. If you see a red ring around the shell, this indicates the fertilized embryo died during incubation. If you see no veins and no growth, this may indicate an embryo that died during shipping or early in incubation. You can candle eggs again before day 23 and discard any eggs that have died. *DO NOT DISCARD ANY EGGS IF YOU ARE UNSURE - SEND US A PHOTO OF YOUR CANDLED EGG AND WE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP YOU DETERMINE FERTILITY. HATCHING:You should stop turning your eggs at day 23 and put the incubator in lockdown mode. Duck eggs will start to hatch 28 days after being placed in the incubator. Increase the humidity to 80° F and open the ventilation on the incubator. It may take several hours to a full day for a duckling to fully emerge from its shell. Do not help them as this may actually kill or deform them. Baby ducks can be moved to the brooder once they are completely dry (12-24 hours after hatching).*DO NOT OPEN THE INCUBATOR AFTER DAY 23! (THIS MAY KILL YOUR BABY DUCKS BEFORE THEY CAN HATCH) HAPPY HATCHING!Feel free to reach out to us with any questions!
