IMPORTANT: The Ruger Vaquero/Blackhawk family of Revolvers are built on two different frames: the XR3-RED frame (Original or OLD model Vaquero and Blackhawk family) or the XR3 frame (New Model Vaquero family). While they look very similar, they are not interchangeable. Grips from one do not fit the other. So please be sure to order the correct grips to fit your revolver. If you have one of the following guns you will need the OLD Model Vaquero (XR3-RED frame) grips:- Blackhawk- Vaquero (NOT New Vaquero)- Wrangler- Single Six- Super Single Six- Single Ten- Old Army- 4 5/8" barrel Super Blackhawk- 5 1/2" barrel Super Blackhawk If you have one of the following guns you will need the NEW Model Vaquero (XR3 frame) grips:- New Vaquero- Montado- 50th Anniversary .357 Blackhawk "Flattop" (2005)- 50th Anniversary .44 "Flattop" (2006) Unfortunately, we do not have any grips to fit the following models:- Bisely- Birds Head- Dragoon- Hawkeye- Super Blackhawk with square trigger guard- Super Blackhawk with 7 ½ inch barrel- Super Blackhawk Hunter edition If you're unsure which model you have, the XR3-RED frames have a serial number with a 2-digit prefix and a ½ inch backstrap. The XR3 frames have a serial number with a 3-digit prefix and a 7/16 inch backstrap. NOTE: The OLD model Vaquero grips are smooth, non textured. The NEW model Vaquero grips incorporate the RioGrip™ texture. RioGrip™ is a series of recessed ovals that provide a grip with more bite than smooth grips without sharp edges, like checkering, that can catch on clothing. Each grip begins life as an injection molded high strength polymer blank made from a carefully engineered mold designed to fit as many Ruger Single Action Revolver frames as possible. It is then custom printed using a unique, proprietary process for full color, full wrap coverage around the grip. Our unique process is kind of like a tattoo, the ink is infused into the polymer. This results in an incredibly durable design that will not wear off and is extremely difficult to scratch through (in fact you'd have to scratch through 2 mm of material to scratch all the way through the image). Our grips are:- Oil, solvent, water, impact and abrasion resistant.- Designed and manufactured in the U.S.A.- Sleek contour and very comfortable- Made of high strength molded polymer for toughness and durability- Graphic image is integrated into the polymer- Matte finish- Same dimensions as the original Ruger Revolver grips - .28 inches (7.1mm) thick providing a super comfortable feel in your hand- Lightweight: 1.7 oz.
