Description: You get the exact one shown here: #CC-36B-S22 / 03-14-2023 3 SOLUTION QUARTZ CRYSTALS Please see VIDEO & all 24 photos (be sure to scroll to see all of them). Sometimes the video isn't viewable when an item is first listed so if you don't see the video then please check back shortly because it's definitely worth watching. This is three SOLUTION QUARTZ CRYSTALS that are mounted in a standard 1 1/4" perky box. This is from the collection of a discriminating Middle-Georgia collector with an eye for aesthetics and quality. These choice specimens now bear Dixie Euhedrals labels. This particular specimen was purchased 49 years ago. three SOLUTION QUARTZ CRYSTALS from The JEFFREY QUARRY, Pulaski County, Arkansas.THIS WAS ACQUIRED IN 1974 FROM Jon Poort of Carrollton, Georgia. The price for this in 1974 - a full 49 years ago - was $30 for three crystals. That is a high price for the era and I am not marking this up much at all!Approximate size of largest single crystal specimen: 1" wide X 3/8" deep X 3/8" tall or in metric: 2.5 X 1.0 X 1.0 CM. The metric dimensions are more precise. There is a second one this size with an attached crystal extending laterally (not counted in dimension when I said it was the same size) and the third one is narrower.Solution quartz has a unique and peculiar termination habit: the ends have multiple points arranged around a central depression. The ones from this location are often double terminated. While I havent removed them from the mineral tack it seems that the two larger crystals probably are double terminated. This is 3 specimens, one of which has an attached crystal so there are 4 crystals total (not counting very tiny ones that are attached to the smallest one). The smaller of the three mounts is laid sideways and one tip isn't the regular solution quartz habit. One end has a regular quartz termination and if you look at it with a loupe you can see a very distinct phantom inside and you can see that it USED to have the typical solution quartz termination before growth resumed. As mentioned, one of the two larger ones has a crystal attached that is extending outwards laterally and the laterally extended one is double terminated. This is the type specimen that you will definitely want to look at closely and at length with a loupe. The terminations on these, as with any solution quartz crystal, is very interesting! Since the relevant features are small I wasn't able to photograph them well. The specimen is much nicer than the photos suggest and you'll be amazed when you check these out with a loupe.I GOOFED UP when I was cropping the photos and adding an image of the specimen label. Originally I had the mine miss-spelled on all 24 photos. I caught the mistake and corrected the label but I corrected only the first photo. The label that comes with the specimen will be correct and will appear like the one in the first image. This was photographed outdoors in bright sunlight and at times it was photographed in shade. The video shows it in the sunlight as well as in a shaded area and the video is better than the photos so do check it out. The crystal looks much better in the video once I reach a shaded area so be sure to watch the entire minute-long video.Do you like perky box mounted specimens?? I have 100's of different specimens for sale and many 100's waiting to be listed. Be sure to check my other items and check back often to see what all is new! This is shown with enlarged images so please note:This is shown with large high-resolution images. The photos show the specimen as if you were examining it with a magnifying glass. Every good detail, and every bad detail, is shown in a blaze of glory or shame as the case may be.Having said that, since the photos are highly enlarged you may see features or blemishes that will not be detectable or will not be as prominent to the naked eye. Please note the size and be advised that the images appear larger than life on your screen. To be clear: this is shown with extreme magnification. To put it another way, (as if that wasn't clear enough?) these are large pictures of a small crystal. This specimen is priced commensurate with its rarity, locality and quality. I can't take less for it so please don't ask. I do have minerals for every budget so be sure to check out my other items.B.O.L.O ALERT - Be On the Look Out: I've recently acquired in excess of 1040 perky box specimens which have been carefully curated over a span of 42 years. The quality ranges from high to extremely high. Despite the sensory overload that oft accompanies high quality minerals, some will be quite affordable. The easiest way to see them is to visit my store and click the store category "PERKY BOXES". You will probably want to add me as a favorite seller and tick the box to receive a view of recently added minerals. I took some time off from listing but I'm back at it for a while and will probably be adding more specimens. So do check back and add me as a favorite and subscribe to my newsletter. Don't worry, you won't get weekly or even monthly emails from me as I only sporadically send them out a few times a year when I've added new items. The shipping scheme is as follows on perky boxes: Domestic USA Shipping: The first specimen costs $2.20 to ship and includes a sturdy box.
