Description: This sweet china head doll is 5 1/2 inches tall, and is perfect for an antique dollhouse, or as a doll for bigger antique dolls. The body appears to be original and was probably made by the owner's mother. It has bisque forearms and hands, and the right thumb area may have been chipped long ago. Please do enlarge and view all the photos for the details. The woven stripe pattern cloth body goes all the way up to the neck and covers the shoulder plate. Since I didn't want to take the clothes and body apart, I'm not sure if there are any markings there, or chipped edges, etc. I can feel the edge of the plate through the cloth and it seems OK, but I can't be totally sure. The clothes are silk, and I added the antique woven silk ribbon. The clothing is just loosely tacked together if you prefer to remove them.
